Dublin Haul & Cocoa Brown Lovely Lady Lunch

A few days ago, I received an email from the lovely ladies at Cocoa Brown, inviting me to lunch on Saturday at the Shelbourne in Dublin. I was so thrilled to be invited, the Shelbourne is a magnificent hotel and I couldn't wait to meet some bloggers in "real life". I arrived in Dublin a little early on Saturday morning, so I did a little bit of shopping! And I do apologise in advance if this post turns out to be a little picture-heavy.

I love Forever 21, their clothes are super stylish and extremely affordable too. I especially really like their skinny jeans, they are a perfect fit for me and so comfortable. Recently I ordered online some lovely coloured skinny jeans, and I thought I'd buy some nice tops to go with them.

I thought this top was real nice. I love the beautiful colour, the floaty style of the top and the pretty gold detailing on the front and the cuffs.
I got this nice coral shirt for casual wear
And because it's still a bit chilly out, I got this nautical style cardigan!

Then of course I had to stop by Penneys, I wanted a few more tops for everyday wear, and I wanted to check out the Essence stand too!
These tops were just €3 each, cheap and cheerful for everyday wear

I thought these two tops were really pretty, I think they €6 each.
I was so impressed with the last Angelica nail polish I got I just had to pick up another couple of colours! Can't wait to try these!

I got these from the Essence stand. I recently included the Gel Tint as part of a beauty swap I took part in, and I really wanted to try it for myself! I also can't wait to try the Volumizing Lash Powder.

OK, now it was time to head to the Shelbourne. I have never seen such luxury, it is the fanciest hotel I have ever been in! It was so nice to meet Marissa and Sarah, and of course some fellow bloggers. We had an amazing lunch, here is a peek at the menu...

The food was just to die for, I have never tasted anything like it in my life! I had to take a photo of the dessert, it was so beautiful!

It was so great to talk to Marissa about her amazing tan, it is for sure the best tanning product I have ever used, and I really mean that. We all had a really great time, and we were all very generously given these amazing goody bags...

You will see included is the new Night and Day tan, which was taken off the production line just for us bloggers to get a sneak peek. A review will be coming very soon!

I had the most amazing day out, and I want to say a huge thank you to the lovely Marissa and Sarah, I feel so honoured to have been invited to the Shelbourne. To all the bloggers who were there, it was so great to meet you and I hope we will meet again soon.

So all in all, a very productive Saturday! I cannot wait to try out all my new products!

Nails of the Day - Angelica "Hip Hop"

Angelia polishes are great. I have only ever used their glitter ones before, which are fab! But when I saw this bright neon colour in Pennys I had to get it. I know I love bright colours, but I have never worn a neon colour before! I just wanted to try something different.

It doesn't actually look that neon when it is applied. I must say, the formula of this polish is amazing. It is like a very fine gel, that just glides on very smoothly. I have never really used anything like this before!

I really adore this polish and I can see it being a favourite of mine during summer!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush

I have never owned a really good make up brush. All my eyeshadow brushes are Superdrug's own brand or cheaper brands out of the chemist. I have been using just a paddle brush for my foundation and it's got quite old, I thought it was time to replace it! But I wanted to get a really good one. I am such a fan of the Pixiwoo girls and was always looking out for these Real Techniques brushes, since I had heard so much about them. I finally saw them in Superdrug and picked up this stippling brush for £10.99. Not even that expensive!

I love the size and the shape of the brush, the design is great. It is just wonderful for applying my foundation. The difference between this and my last foundation brush is just unreal! I looked at the tutorials for these brushes on the Real Techniques site, and Samantha Chapman recommended this brush for a more lighter coverage. For me, it is just perfect and I like pretty much a full coverage.

Although I only have one Real Techniques brush, I am just loving it and will never use anything else now! I actually hope to get more of these each time I go shopping, and hopefully collect them all. They are great and very reasonably priced!

Nails of the Day - NYC Greenwich Village

NYC are my favourite brand for nail polishes, ever. They are so cheap, these ones I think are £1.79 each and come in a lovely selection of colours. I have had this polish in my collection for a while, and I really fancied wearing a bright colour! It is the most perfect, cerise pink. Not only are these polishes cheap, and they apply very well, but they are also incredible in that they last several days without chipping, which for me is a miracle! What more could you want!

New - MUA Power Pout - "Justify"

I could not wait to get my hands on one of these! I have always admired Clinique Chubby Sticks but at £16.00 a go, it would really break my heart paying that because I am such a lover of budget beauty items! The MUA versions are just £3.00! Now, obviously I cannot compare the two brands but so far, I am loving the MUA Power Pout!

I chose the shade Justify because I am so in love with coral shades at the moment. The packaging is great, it is a perfect chunky crayon. The silver part twists to reveal more product, just like the Clinique Chubby Sticks. There is so much product for the £3.00 price!
These Power Pouts are so full of moisture, they just glide on and look so glossy. They have a slight menthol scent and as such they tingle a little on the lips but I love this! They feel so good on your lips and are very comfortable to wear. They are pretty long lasting and even after a couple of hours wear, there was still a little tint on my lips. Love it! I am definitely going to buy more of the shades!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows

These have been in my make up bag for a little more than a year, and I adore them so much! Before, I wasn't really into cream eyeshadows but these have completely changed my opinion and now I couldn't live without them (well, not literally).

I love the bird design on the lids!

L-R - Get Figgy, Tattle Tale, RSVP

They come in a nice, sturdy glass pot with a plastic screw on lid. You get 4.5g of product, and you will see that even after more than a year of me owning them, there is still plenty left.

 Get Figgy

 Tattle Tale

They have a subtle scent which reminds me of cookie dough or cake mix! It's strange but very pleasant. They are lovely and smooth and I just apply them using my finger all over my eyelid. My favourite, everyday shade is RSVP. I use Tattle Tale as a highlighter, it's a really nice, creamy white shade. Get Figgy is an absolutely beautiful purple, I just wear this one on it's own.

They absolutely do not crease, they still look perfect at the end of every day (or night). They do not budge, and that is why I love them. I do not own an eye primer, but I do use these, under any eyeshadow. They do the exact same job, and also add a little more depth to your eyeshadows.

They cost £14.00 each and I really think they are worth every penny. I couldn't recommend them enough! I have tried other brands of cream eyeshadows but I haven't found any good dupes for these at all. I believe that Benefit may have changed the packaging slightly, I am not sure how true that is but at least all the shades will still be available. Check them out if you can!

Clinique All About Eyes Rich

I am very, very conscious about my under-eye area. Although I am only 24 years old, I swear my under-eyes make me look so much older. I put it down to dry skin making me look like I have fine lines. So in need of some hydration, I started to research what eye creams would be good for me, and I came across this one. I got it in Debenhams and it cost me £24.00.

 Nearly all gone!

So I have had this cream for more than a year now, and been using it every night. And I can safely say, that it has made NO difference to the appearance of my under-eyes. I might as well not have been using it at all! I had read so many good reviews on it, some people really saw a huge difference after just a few weeks, but a year on I see no change at all.
Just recently I have read some pretty bad reviews on Clinique's 3 Step skincare range and it has really frightened me. I have used Clinique's make up before and liked it, but this was my first time using any of their skincare products. This eye cream did not irritate my skin or anything, it just hasn't made a difference at all. If anyone has any suggestions as to what would be a suitable and effective eye cream for me, please let me know!

Nails of the day

My local chemist has quite a few of these Sally Hensen Salon Manicure polishes reduced to £2.00! A lot of the shades were quite dark and I am really looking for brighter, more Spring appropriate shades! I loved the look of this nude colour, especially as I am so in love with peach tones at the moment.

I don't really have any nude shades so I am delighted I bought this to add to my collection. I love that it has an almost metallic like sheen to it!

NYC Appleicious Lip Balm

I know I am sort of on a spending ban, but I had heard that NYC had brought out a lovely new collection of lip balms, they were only £2.50 each so I decided to treat myself! (Sure why not, I love lip balms!)

I love the absolutely adorable apple design in the centre of the balm! Also it's a nice size of a lip balm, it's not too small that it will get lost in your handbag!

Out of the shades available, I chose Appleicious Pink! I don't normally wear bright pinks, but being a lip balm I chose one of the brighter shades as I wanted there to be some kind of pigmentation. I did not expect the colour payoff to be so good! Out of all the lip balms I have tried from different brands, they have all been pretty sheer, so this is a wonderful surprise, I love it!
I really like how it looks on. And it stays on for a good number of hours, you can still feel the moisture in it too. It also has a lovely fruity scent. This is a real gem from NYC and I think I may have to go back and purchase the other shades!
